of Stavesacre with clothes pins in his hair?
Well, Iris Anna wasn't done working on his hair.
And he didn't seem to mind.
He let her do her thing."Thanks, Grandpa!"
Would you look at that, a team effort. He's helping her.
Now doesn't he look cute?
He thinks so.
Just got to do some last minute rearranging...--------------------------------------------------
Good Tuesday everyone.
-----------------------
Our little play date with our two special guests went well this morning. The weather was nice and we even had people taking off their jackets.
-------------------------
We did have a few injuries, however. Somehow Peach Blossom got a hold of this long thick handle (the kind that attaches to a snow shovel except with no shovel) and bonked Stavesacre on the head with it. I'd never seen the thing in the yard till today. So, we put that it up and put Peach Blossom on a time out. (Yes, the guests were here when that happened.)
----------------------------------
Poor Stavesacre was crying. Being the youngest, he always seems to be at the mercy of mean ole' Peach Blossom, who quite literally will show no mercy. I always have to be on the lookout to make sure that Peach Blossom isn't trying to use his size to his advantage against Stavesacre.
------------------------------------------
I remember when Dandy Lion used to do that kind of stuff to Iris Anna. She'd be running happily along and he'd come up behind her and push her down from behind.
-------------------------------------------------
I think some of the reason Peach Blossom does this is out of jealousy. Also, Stavesacre is starting to get to the point where he tries to stand up for his little self or even instigate a few pushy moves. (which is so gosh darn cute, but you have to tell him that he can't be hitting his big brother) Well, when little Staveacre's pushes on Peach Blossom you can just imagine Peach Blossom's response. At three he doesn't understand that the 21-month-old can't be held completely responsible for his actions. So, he'll try to retaliate with all the force a three-year-old can muster. In the end, Stavescare is no match against Peach Blossom.
-----------------------------------------------------
In other news, our Darling Rose began practice tonight with the high school dance team. She tried out for the team by putting together her own 32 count routine. Then, she was judged and her routine was good enough to allow her to make the team. For those who don't know, they don't have "cheerleading" anymore. Too dangerous with all the flipping and making a pryamid and flipping around...now it's dance team.
------------------------------------------
The dance team she is on will perform at the JV girls basketball games and also in competitions against other schools.
-------------------------------------------------
Darling Rose has taken tap, ballet and jazz since she was four. Though, she hasn't been in any formal dance programs for the past two years.
--------------------------------------------
Oh, the no caffeine is going fine except for the fact that I want to eat everything in sight. I didn't know this till tonight, but did you know that caffeine suppresses your appetite?
-------------------------------------------------------
Which means....when you don't have it....yah...this should be interesting. Have a nice Wednesday y'all!

1 Darling thoughts:
Go Darling Rose! Kick, turn, clap, stomp - okay, so my rhythm is... lacking, but great for her! The pictures made me laugh. My brother is three years older than me and was always bothering me like this. Stavesacre looks bigger in his pictures lately. After reading Our Darling Kids for the last little while, he definitely looks like a growing boy = )
